Notre Dame beats Marquette on late game-winning goal

There was only one ɬ﷬ַ Division I men's lacrosse game on Wednesday but it did not disappoint. Notre Dame, ranked No. 15 in the latest Inside Lacrosse poll, topped Marquette 7-6 on junior attacker Ryder Garnsey's game-winner with 15 seconds left.

Garnsey made a cut on the left side of the goal to slip past Marquette's defense, he received a pass from teammate Pierre Byrne from behind the goal, and then he reached back and beat Marquette's goalie in the top left corner of the goal. It was his only goal of the game but it came at the most important time. Garnsey also had two assists.

The 2016 ACC Freshman of the Year and 2017 USILA Honorable Mention All-American added to his team-best point total of 23 points, thanks to his 14 goals and nine assists this season.
